Chairs Series: Gold & Steel

This series started with my first love of making art, graphite drawing. The simplicity of the chair image, supporting itself with four legs presented a blank “canvas” for the drawing. I love to work with gold leaf on steel, a juxtaposition of two materials, one that is precious, the other a common industrial tool.
